Trimix eye drops<\/strong> is a combination of viscosity-enhancing hyaluronic acid, trehalose, and cationic liposomes comprising stearylamine and phospholipids, which has shown promising results in both animal and ex vivo models of DED.<\/p>\n\n\n\nTrimix eye drops administered three times daily for 2 months resulted in significant improvement in non-invasive break-up time (NIBUT), tear meniscus height (TMH) and lipid layer thickness (LLT) in patients with mild to moderate DED.
\nTrimix eye drops also significantly improved symptoms of ocular discomfort by showing a good tolerability profile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
