Alocross Gel for ocular topical therapies.

Topical ocular therapies, particularly continuous hypotonizing eye drops in glaucoma patients, can cause iatrogenic damage to the ocular surface and particularly to the corneo- conjunctival cells over time, with the presence of inflammatory-type phenomena leading to dry eye-like symptoms.

A combination of 0.4 percent cross-linked hyaluronic acid and 0.2 percent Aloe vera in eye drops gel is able to exert a defense effect on the ocular surface, protecting the corneo-conjunctival epithelium and modulating inflammation, with a reduction in symptoms such as red eye, burning, tearing, and itching. Alocross gel is therefore indicated in patients with ocular surface disorders of iatrogenic nature.
