In a healthy eye, the tear film and its components work in COMBINATION to lubricate, oxygenate, nourish, moisturize, and protect the ocular surface. Liposomes are known for their soothing and emollient properties, as well as their ability to act as a carrier, increasing the bioavailability of the substances they carry.

Stearylamine carried by liposomes due to its positive charge, allows better adhesiveness on the epithelial surface and helps to inhibit microbial growth. The combination of the above properties makes TriMix® an effective ocular surface protector with antioxidant effects that can promote the repair of ocular tissues injured surgically or as a result of mechanical, chemical trauma or environmental insults.”
